Bais de Six Fours - Embiez Archipelago
The Six-Fours Bay & the Embiez Archipelago
The Embiez Archipelago & the Six Fours-Sanary Bay are magical diving locations teeming with a wealth of marine life thanks to the nutrient-rich Ligurian current in these temperate waters.
As you dive among these undulating seascapes you will encounter a variety of creatures, from small to large, set against a colourful backdrop of sponges, anemones, gorgonians, sea squirts & other tunicates present on rocky & coralligenous outcrops, overhangs, caves & reefs. These sites are often bordered by Posidonia meadows, & nearby there are some well-inhabited wrecks to explore.
Part of the Natura 2000 marine reserves, the Embiez Archipelago is a multitude of underwater hills & valleys that provide memorable diving experiences. This archipelago is home to a wide variety of marine life, including colourful nudibranchs, ‘Dalmatian’ sea slugs, octopuses, gropers, wrasse, moray & conger eels, seabream, scorpionfish, forkbeards, barracudas & many others.
Many of the dive sites are sheltered & accessible to divers of all levels, including beginners and less experienced divers.
